a two tortoise garage:

These guys are each at least 2 or 3 times as big around as your average coffee table.

I'm surprised they haven't learned to back into their garage :)

5. Could be, the sign and zoo map just list them as Giant Tortoises.
So, I'm not 100% sure.

7. Not only can I not spell tortoise
I just looked it up and there are two kinds. I knew that but had forgotten. Aldabras and Galapagos. Could be either or one of both! Cool. They are very nice creatures that actually have a bit of a personality.

8. THey do indeed. They know their keepers
and when the keepers go into the enclosure and scratch them under the chin, they stretch their necks way out and up :)

They're actually pretty cute :)

9. I used to work
at our zoo and we had two and I do believe they were Aldabras. I worked with reptiles and amphibans for a while and they were in that area of my care.

I am rehabing an American Toad at my barn right now. He kind of took to my barn and stayed and I would scratch him and he seemed to like it. Something ate or stepped on one of his back legs and now he has only 3 legs but the darn thing has healed and can hop around but he never leaves my barn aisle and the little house I made for him. He hops out and stops until I scratch him. Funny creatures. He lives with a Leopard Frog that has found his way there. I also have a box turtle now that looks like he had been mowed over more than once.

MuseRiders home for diabled critters I call it. :)

13. See, this would have never happened if we banned same-sex marriages
You probably never had sexual feelings about turtles but damnit those same-sex married couples have turned you into a turle-lusting fools. Oh the shame!!!

15. It's not automatic, but you can see the edges of the "door" hanging down
I think they have human servants that open and close the door for them :)
