2. Reminds me a lot of what I said to a coworker on hearing the new
Coldplay single:

"I liked these guys better when they were called 'U2,' and even then I thought they sucked."

4. I love Coldplay...U2 is ok
I agree that Coldplay's newest CD sounds like U2. It is more pop/rock than their previous stuff. Their first 2 CD's though were not at all like U2. They were more pure. The sound was more laid back and you could really feel the emotions in Martin's voice. The CD's were more organic. I do like their newest CD, X & Y, but I think it is made to please the MTV/pop radio crowd, but I hope in their next work they go back to the feel of their older stuff.
