4. Yeah, but it was nice to have free upgrades to the lower levels! |
|
It was always really easy to get tickets too.
Of course, we always got our asses handed to us back then.

i think it was 1988 in oLd (foxboro?) stadium.
the pats pLayed the bears for the first time since the super bowL shuffLe, and doug fLutie opened up the pats' first pLay from scrimmage with a 60yd bomb to irving friar. everyone jumped up to ceLebrate, and as i tried to join in, i promptLy feLL, got stuck between seats, and spiLLed my cocoa aLL over me.
great game though. :D aLso, jim mcmahon got hurt in the game, and some of the bears were accusing the pats' andre tippet of dirty pLay.
and that was another moment in sniffa history.

Tell us how you really feel!
Okay, I haven't followed other teams much this year and they're my home team. But let me console you that unless ten other teams roll over for them, they're just not in a condition to repeat this season. Win the AFC East and make the playoffs, and look respectable, sure that's possible. More than than that, unlikely.
I don't think Brady really has the desire anymore, on that side of the ball, and the defense is just plain out of enough guys who can step up their performance to the level. The core of the team is either gone or has nothing left to prove, and no one's there to change that. I see this season as a lot of guys showing up for the paycheck and there not being enough hustle and desire for the breaks to go their way.
I'm fine with it. And the fans have indeed been morphing too far from New Englanders who like football to that callous generic football fandom that is all ego and no grace.
I'd just like for the Pats to yield to a genuine team with good talent, not slimy gimmickry or failing on stupid injuries.
