Suggestions that are toddler-friendly would be especially welcome.

Thanks!

1. Go see the aspen forests when the leaves turn yellow.
Although, I think that's more of a southern Colorado thing.

There's always the zoo, and the Denver museum of natural history.

2. You looking for outdoorsy things, or city stuff?

We have a children's museum.

The toddler might really like Tiny Town, which includes a miniature train ride through a miniature town in the mountains.

I always see wild life at Roxborough State Park. It's about 45 minutes south of Denver. I suggest an early evening trip to almost guarantee seeing deer. The trail is level and well maintained but not paved. Here's a photo I took there.

6. I edited my first post to include kid/family stuff.
If I think of anything else I'll reply to the OP again. Have fun while you're out here! :hi:

4. The Botanical Gardens and The Natural History Museum in Denver
are great!

Scoot on up to Boulder and take a walk on Pearl Street, if you've got the time.

7. Screw Denver.
Get in your car and drive to Boulder.

Better yet, drive to Estes Park.

Denver is terrible.
