What music are you listening to today? |
|
Edited on Tue Aug-02-05 12:39 PM by mvd
Today:
Alexz Johnson - Songs From Instant Star
Go-Betweens - Oceans Apart
Both great CDs!
I just ordered the new Faith Hill (B+ - matches her best rating so far,) and Natasha Bedingfield (A at least) albums, so I'll have new stuff to listen to soon.

~ HOME ~
I mistook the warnings for wisdom From so called friends quick to advise Though your touch was telling me otherwise Somehow I saw you as a weakness I thought I had to be strong Oh but I was just young I was scared I was wrong Not a night goes by I don't dream of wandering Through the home that might have been And I listened to my pride When my heart cried out for you Now everyday I wake again, in a house that might have been A home A home Guess I did what I did believing That love is a dangerous thing Oh but that couldn't hurt anymore than that Not a night goes by I don't dream of wandering Through the home that might have been And I listened to my pride When my heart cried out for you Now everyday I wake again in a house that might have been A home A home Four walls, a roof, and some windows Just a place to run when my working day is through They say home is where the heart is If the exception proves the rule I guess that's true Not a night goes by I don't dream of wandering Through the home that might have been And I listened to my pride When my heart cried out for you Now everyday I wake again in a house that might have been A home A home

While Faith has returned with a good CD (album grades are B, B+, C, B-, C+, and now B+ in order from first CD to newest,) she doesn't match the Dixie Chicks IMO.
Since you like "Home," check out the writer, Maia Sharp. She's also an artist. Admittedly, the Dixie Chicks do a better job with her own song, but you might like her.

Heard it on the X
Not the same Los Super Seven I used to love. Much more commercial. But very, very good.
