If so, keep checking that your flight will be on time (big crash, no fatalities, there - see LBN)

I don't know how old your kids are, but maybe they have one? I happened across a Canadian travel site yesteray and I thought it said photo ID was accepted. Couldn't hurt if you've got it.

I know they're really just a decoy!
Hope you have tons of fun.
Just a little heads up, you'll need them again when they get their driver's license and no combination of other ID's will really do. Not admission to college, not federal student aid papers, not all combined with social security and student photo id's; nope. Birth certificate. Nothing like watching a bust for phony driver's licenses on tv when you can't get your perfectly legal citizen his.

needed it for entering school. But I can't think for the life of me what I did with it after the secretary made a copy for her files.

9. Is the school office open? |
|
You could probably get the school secretary to make a copy of the one in his school file. I would be willing to bet the school secretary and adminstration are already back at work. If not, the district offices are open year round. There may be another copy in his file there.
I thought I read that you needed a passport to cross the border now. Is that just for adults? Last time we went to Canada, we had our birth certs ready to present but the border guys just said 'welcome to canada' and let us in.
Good luck.

14. Believe me, I have asked hubby more than once about moving but alas |
|
his mother's being Canadian doesn't help us out. We still would have to go through all the hoops including saving up $10,000 which would be impossible living hand to mouth as we do now.

i know we talked of this a couple weeks ago in the run up to your visit
but just fyi if i might IF you/husband already have a job offer in canada then there isnt the money requirement
now with a family of 4 and one has a job offer i cant say 100% that there is no money needed but i dont *think* so if its the main job and can support you there
best wishes anyway and have loads of fun

16. Where are you moving? |
|
Sorry - I know I'm not answering your question. BUT - where are you moving? Are you making a permanent move or temporary? Are you going to register to vote absentee?
