Something everyone must hear! Really surreal. LOL |
|
Go to www.wingmusic.co.nz This is a woman from hong kong who sings Broadway music. You can listen to some of her songs. Listen to 'Close to you' off her carpenters tracks. It is surreal

Holy Jesus Christ its much worse than you you describe.
Excuse me, I'm going out to the garage to fire up the buzzsaw, and cut up some metal. I gotta get that song out of my head.
Cheers Drifter

sing in tune.
Is there some way to "flush" the auditory system? I know! Some Grand Funk Railroad ought to do it!

Mrs. Miller has been reborn!
I just played "Don't Cry..." a couple of times, then the cat came into the room sniffing and looking behind things and under the furniture.

When I was a kid, early 70's, my older sister liked to play those crazy Plastic Ono Band records. Whenever Yoko did any singing, the cat would come in, look around, sniff at the speakers, and generally look really pissed off. Funny stuff.
I wonder how much $17 NZ is. Those discs would go great with "Spaced Out" and my ill-gotten Napster Mrs. Miller songs.
edit: that's 14 bucks Canadian, about 10 for you nice folks south of the border. It's crazy not to buy them!

I love the 1st Plastic Ono band Album--the hard one. But Yoko never sings on it if i remember correctly. Yoko's voice is so utterly painful to listen to, I cannot stomach it. She makes Wing sound like Otis redding or Aretha franklin.

13. I clearly remember one particular track |
|
that Yoko sort of yowls her way through. That one would drive the poor puss round the bend; our laughing at him probably didn't help.

she sounds a lot better than I do. The nicest compliment I've ever received about my singing was I sounded like Janis Joplin when I sang the refrain "Oh lord won't ya buy me a Mercedes Benz..."
I don't think I'll become a big fan of hers though. There's already enough noise pollution around and I don't need anything adding to it.

17. Wouldn't be so bad if she could sing in tune, stay on pitch, |
|
Edited on Fri Nov-07-03 07:41 PM by Rabrrrrrr
enunciate, had some depth to her voice, could follow the rhythm and come in on beat, didn't warble so much, didn't sound like a strangled chipmunk . . .
(in the phantom of the opera, she really does sound like a strangled chipmunk, like one of the Alvin And group of chipmunks. Terrible).
And yes, close to you is just horrible, though I actually prefer Wings version, because at elast, through it's badness, it' has character, and isn't just shmarmy shit, like the original.
memories is TrulyGodawful(tm)
