Who is your least favorite talk radio personality?
Mine has got to be hannity. he is such a pompous ass. Either him or Savage, who is little more than a deranged lunatic.

1. Sheesh! So many - Limbaugh and Hannity, I guess
Way too broad a question. So many to despise.

4. Yeah, Hannity. He's got "Daily Tallking Points" written all over him.
Edited on Fri Nov-07-03 03:58 PM by Cat Atomic
I hear his show sometimes as I'm driving to lunch. Morbid curiosity, what can I say?

Anyway, you can tell he's literally reading the items for the first time as he's speaking them into the mic- it's so amazingly pathetic. Really- listen to him sometime. He'll use his angry and exasperated voice while reading an article and he'll backup mid sentence and start again, because he missed a word, or an end-quote, or whatever.

I mean, if that's not the phoniest thing in the world, I don't know what is. He hasn't even read the fucking thing yet, but he knows he should be angry about it? RNC talking points.

Sad.

7. Roger Hedgecock
I think that was his name. He was filling in for Rush the other day and he had the audacity to say that if you are 40 years old and aren't making $100,000 a year, you've chosen not to make decent money either by being a teacher or a policeman or else you're a LOSER! I couldn't believe it. He went on to spew a bunch more ridiculous crap, but that comment alone was so utterly shocking. Don't people like that realize that for some people, there's more to life than money? Not everyone is ruled by money....not everyone is greedy. He said the immigrants who come here and open 3 grocery stores in san diego and who are making a couple hundred thou a year -now THAT's AMERICA! Not raising the minimum wage to $8.50!! THAT's Socialism, he said.

He was even more arrogant than the others....well, except maybe for Rush himself.

8. I wonder how old he is, and what he earns.
Personally I dislike Limbaugh first and foremost, but Neil Boortz is a close second.

12. Roy Masters
Edited on Fri Nov-07-03 05:34 PM by MikeH
I guess he is still on. I remember first hearing him on a religious station in the very early 1970's, when I was an impressionable young man. His program was called How Your Mind Can Keep You Well, and Your Moment of Truth.

The title made it sound like it was typical self-help, or inspiration, but Roy was (and I think still is) always harping on how depraved and rotten we are, and how he (and almost he alone) is telling the truth that everybody needs to hear but does not want to hear.

He has his ideas about sex and sexuality, and how that is a part of our corrupt nature.

I once heard him say, in these exact words, that if you were against him, you were against God.

Unfortunately, somebody obnoxious as Roy is now the rule rather than the exception.

...Hannity! Megalomaniacs, both! In a creepy kind of New World Order, behind barbed wire armed to the teeth and shooting anything that moves, kind of way.

14. Laura Schlessinger
between that annoying whine, cutting off callers before they've finished explaining their problem and her fake religiousity I can't decide which I hate the most.

They had it on at the office until I invoked the sexual harassment policy and had it turned off.

17. I'll second that...
I used to listen to her, waiting for a chance to call in and say, "Laura, you ignorant slut..." I finally figured out it was not good for my health to listen to her.

I love that 'Letter to Dr. Laura' that circulates every now and then on the internet, with references to Leviticus.
