He saved my sanity, back when I was a scared, lonely 10-percenter. I went to one of the Bartcop get-togethers and realized that I wasn't alone (plus I got to meet Bart & Mrs. Bart, James Carville, David Brock, Joe Conason, and Buzzflash in a small group, which doesn't suck, either!)
Congrats on being called a pillar and a peach!

2. You were there too? The Juliefest? |

It was a great party. I love those chocolates. I still order them from time to time.

although we don't do shots, and don't want to spend the money for stuff that's just going to be dumped in the blender with Marguerita mix!
Juliefest was a great memory - I was the really tall girl in a maroon suit, with the bouncer-looking significant other. Unfortunately, my SO spent most of the party at the bar, since he wasn't into politics yet, and ended up insulting people back at the hotel, and then passing out in our room. Today, he'd really enjoy himself - he keeps up with events and issues better than I do.
Got Carville to sign one of his books (puchased earlier), which was a dream come true.
I was relatively new to BartCop, and didn't know folks from the board yet, but JulieRB took me under her wing, and I got to talk to a guy who worked at NASA, and Bob from Oklahoma also saw we looked stranded and went out of his way to make us feel welcome.
Also met Julie the next day at the hotel - she was such a fragile little thing. Bart never said why she was out of work on disability, but it was so clearly rheumatoid arthristis - I was uncomfortable shaking her hand because I was afraid to hurt her.
What are your memories (other than the chocolates?)
