10. gold stars are passe
Edited on Fri Nov-07-03 04:53 PM by ulysses
The self-adhesive world has expanded well beyond gold stars, and while I've made a point of avoiding the commercialized stuff, the "dangerous sea creatures" stickers have been going like hotcakes. Care for a moray eel?

15. you'd better believe it.
The absence of the disc is no excuse. We're strictly a low-tech (no-tech, truth be told) classroom.

It was half my undergrad major, though. And as I said, it's a private school - they switch classes every period, too.

11. Why so late?
I've already graded all the midterms and handed them back.

Why won't the students read, or at least abide by, the instructions? It's their grades that suffer for it.

17. You're sharp! Never could get away with the wrong-numbered pencil.
But we always had to have 2 pencils on our desktop, 'cause once the tests were passed out, we were not allowed to get up to look at Billy's paper on the way to the pencil sharpener. O8)

18. Mr. Uly sharpens the pencils
(because the little dears tend to play with the stupid sharpener) and no headache-inducing #3s allowed past the door of my classroom. No headache-inducing purple dinosaurs either, much to the dismay of the youngest.
