1. Here's a few
"Rockin' In The Free World"- Neil Young (especially on his guestshot on SNL)

"Whipping Post"- Allman Brothers (Especially Zappa's live versions)

"Plaid Coat"- The Gourds (love the studio version, but the live version soars)

"Life Is Sweet"- Maria McKee (I've her her play this life and it's astounding)

"Louie, Louie"- Every Garage Band In The World (meant to be played llive, loud, and drunk)

4. Rock and Roll all Night - Kiss
Actually almost any song on Kiss Alive (1) compared to the studio cut on one of the first 3 albums.

5. Sunday Bloody Sunday off Under a Blood Red Sky
Hard to beat the emotion in that. I'd also add "Silver and Gold" off of Rattle and Hum. The original on the Sun City album is a little flat.
