When do the kids in your area go back to school?
My kids go back a week from today...every year it inches back a little. Pretty soon, they'll start school in July!

1. Labor day, or right after.
Ack! Your kids must get out in MAY!

10. Yes, they do get out in May
They also get out for...

A week when the county fair comes to town (it's called Fall Break - October)

An entire week at Thanksgiving (Hey! We only got Thursday and Friday when I was a kid!)

Spring Break (one week)

Winter Break (two weeks for xmas and New Year's)

September 11 is an early dismissal day. They spend half the day singing patriotic songs, often required to wear certain colored shirts because they'll be forming a flag outside as they sing. :scared:

If they would cut out half of the breaks, they could start after Labor Day!

I don't pay attention to it much, but I seem to recall reading that on the school billboards here.

11. I remember doing that as a kid too
My kids will go for three days the first week. I think they understand that it's a bitch to get them back into the routine. So, they go a few days, and get a break for the kids to recover.
