3. In other words, you hate rap
And in fact, songs in general, which tend to rhyme.

4. From 'Square Dance'
"yeh, the man's back!
With a plan to ambush this Bush Administration
Mush the senate's face in, push this generation
Of kids to stand and fight for the right to say something
You might not like"

5. For every evil, there is a greater good
M&M sings againt homos and his mum, if I bothered to look I'd get an instant recall as to the other vile things he chants about.

But "this democracy of hypocrisy" should make everybody listen. And I wonder what his politics are about...

9. I listened to a lot of eminem.
I've never heard him say anything homophobic. Except possibly for using "gay" in the derogative, towards boy bands. Which is forgivable.

11. I prefer Woody
I am out to sing songs that will prove to you
that this is your world
and that if it has hit you pretty hard
and knocked you for a dozen loops,
no matter how hard it's run you down,
and rolled over you,
no matter what color, what size you are,
how you are built; I am out to sing the songs
that will make you take pride in yourself
and in your work.

-- Woody Guthrie

12. From "The Way I Am"
"Sometimes I just feel like my father
I hate to be bothered
With all of this nonsense- it's constant.
And 'Oh, it's his lyrical content
-the song "Guilty Conscience" has gotten such rotten responses'
And all of the controversy circles me
And it seems like the media immmediately
Points a finger at me
So I POINT ONE BACK AT 'EM
But not the index or pinky
Or the ring or the thumb, it's the one you put up
When you don't give a fuck, when you won't just put up
With the bullshit they pull, cause they FULL OF SHIT too
When a dude's getting bullied and shoots up his school
And they blame it on Marilyn...and the heroin
Where were the parents at? LOOK WHERE IT'S AT.
MIDDLE AMERICA.
NOW it's a tragedy.
NOW it's so sad to see- an upper-class ci-ty.
Havin this happenin
Then attack Eminem cause I rap this way
But I'm glad cause they feed me the fuel that I need for the fire
To burn and IT'S BURNIN' and I have returned.

And I am
Whatever you say I am......"

14. I like Eminem
Yes, I am rather offended by some of his lyrics. Many of these songs say great things while others come together to portray a sort of artisitc portrait of an idea. His work is art and if you look at it that way, you are less likely to be offended by individual lyrics and see what he is trying to portray.

16. "Black Eyed Peas" couldn't say it any better...
"A war is goin' on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret, it's swept under the rug"

This song (Where Is The Love) debuted about 2-3 months ago...great song.

19. from eminem's song...
"Still Don't Give a Fuck"

Lyric: "I don't rap to get the women. Fuck bitches. Gimme a fat slut that cooks and does dishes."

Sounds like a Republican quote to me. You all know how they don't respect women. :shakes fist:

21. You dont know eminem
Edited on Sat Nov-08-03 02:51 PM by Kamika
What hes saying is that he doesnt want a woman or a wife.. this is because his wife and the only women he ever dated just divorced him or sued him and got money.

So hes saying now that fuck that.. like fuck women.. from now he just wants someone that cooks and does dishes and not a j-lo wanabee that will run and sell her story to the press asson as she can.

Eminem is really a cool guy.. but if hes angry at someone he isnt pc.. hell blurt it out in his songs.

"just dont give a fuck" and "still dont give a fuck" are two songs i live by

especially this line

"To all the people I've offended - yeah fuck you too!
To all the friends I used to have - yo I miss my past
But the rest of you assholes can KISS MY ASS"

22. ah, yes...
took it out of context. sorry. I do happen to love that song. I was just relating the quote to the republican party, because of their stance on women.
