After Mick Taylor left in 1974, they've been a shell of their former glory.

They seem to be more of a tribute band to themselves now. I'm criticizing them for not living up to their own standards though. Most hack groups today can learn from them.

So for a "Non Pink Floyd" band they're alright :)

i like my rock and roll gritty, sweaty and hard driving -- and these guys have been doing that for a long time.

yes they've been through changes -- but that's a really cool thing about longevity. the art changes through time.
