I saw this earlier this year on ifilms.com and was positviely bowled over when Zappa mentioned "theocratic fascism" 'way back in 1986.

3. No, quite a few saw it coming.
The moral majority was already out, Reagan's inability to separate God and America was rampant, etc.

But Zappa was pretty much the only entertainer/anthropologist who was vocal about the dangers and prophetic enough to try to warn the world.
