Queer As Folk fans: Let talk about the finale!

1. Something exciting with Ted and Tad for sure.

The Tad-boi is trouble.

I wonder if he and Emmette will get back together.

Here's my thoughts:

1. Mel and Lyndsey don't move to Canada.

2. Justin will get an offer to work in NYC. He'll have to make a choice to either marry Brian or follow his dream of being an artist.

3. Debbie will get married.

Mel and Lindsay won't move ... at least I hope they won't. Last week's scene where Brian gave Linds his blessing was so sad.

Justin will definitely get an offer in NYC. What scares me is that in this week's previews, he's bitching that Brian isn't the man he used to be - meaning that Justin isn't necessarily thrilled with the new, domesticated Brian - so I hope that doesn't mean they'll break up. I really want a happy ending for everyone. :-)

I think Deb and Carl will get married despite her anger over her son not being able to get married (which is what stopped Deb's wedding the first time). It's the final episode, so they'll probably wrap up all the loose ends and marry her off.


Showtime has been promoting it as a "shocking finale" so I hope that doesn't mean tragic. :scared: Will Tad kill Ted? Will Ben get sick?


By the way, don't forget the "QAF Says Goodbye" special that airs just before the finale. :-)

10. I've missed a lot too.

Mel and Lyndsey broke up for a while. (Lyndsey had a fling with man)

Mel had a baby girl (Michael's the father)

Ted is working at Brian's office.

Emmette was dating an NFL player that later came out of the closet.

Everyone is fighting an anti-gay prop on the ballot. Justin was arrested for protesting at his fathers office. His asshole father had him arrested.

A bomb exploded at Babalon and Michael was hurt. Several people died.

what's with Gless? what is her character about?

Just curious. I'm an old Rockford files fan, and had a big crush on her as a young lad.

but she's also the waitress at the local diner - which means she's a mother hen to the entire "Liberty Avenue" gay community. She's great! She completely supports gay rights and she's a real fighter! She's also very open-minded and says what the rest of us are thinking, LOL! A few weeks ago, she called Bush "that asshole in the White House." :evilgrin:


On QAF, she looks very different than the Sharon Gless we're all used to seeing.

13. My Sunday nights will not be the same.

I hate that it is going away. I can't stand the L Word but I will probably try one more season to get into it. As far as the finale, I don't think the marriage will happen. I hope it does but not likely. I wish E&T would get back together or at least Emmett getting Ted away from psycho Tad. The ladies are probably off to Canada. Marriage for D&H and more wedded bliss for M&B.

but I can't. Is it just me or are all the characters on that show completely unlikable? :shrug: Seriously, there is not one person on "The L Word" that I enjoy watching. :-(

17. I just started watching the first season of QAF (never had cable TV

until recently, saw an episode and decided to start renting it from Netflix) and it is SO good - one of those shows that you just can't stop watching. I regret that I hadn't started watching it sooner - I'm sure I'll be stuck in front of the TV until I go through all 4 seasons on DVD :)

Of all the people in that picture who would be wearing something provocative, the lesbian is the one who wouldn't be caught dead in an open shirt and red brassiere. Just a bit sexist, but whatever, I stopped watching that show during the second season. It's definitely a boy show.
