wash your fucking hands after you pee!
why do people (especially when others are in the restroom) not wash their hands. that's just like peeing on someone elses hands because you grab the door handle and then someone else grabs it. c'mon people! put a lil soap on them fuckers and clean them!

rant over.

4. right
usually when I pee, I don't touch anything except clothing and then toilet paper. I'm still picking up germs from the door and stall handles ... so I guess that's a good reason to wash.

24. It is absolutely true, to a disgusting degree.
I was a restaurant manager, its frightening in the ladies room. But interestingly, much of the mess is the result of their attempts to stay or get clean, they throw towels and toilet paper everywhere, line the toilet seats with TP to keep their precious butts off, stuff like that, and it all ends up on the floor.

43. Often it is, although I find men and women to be equally piggy.
It is one of my job duties to clean the restrooms at work, and I have cleaned some mighty shit stains from the toilet seats in both the mens' and womens' restrooms. I could only surmise that the crappers in question were "hovering" and did not have their ass cheeks firmly in contact with the seat.

Also, both men and women tend to throw toilet paper around on the floor, although women have the dubious distinction of disposing of feminine hygeine items as they see fit - they don't always put them in the little silver boxes or the trash can.

44. Yes. I used to work as a janitor.
The worst thing in the men's room was urine on the floors under the urinal and next to the toilet.

For some reason women would do just horrible things with feces and tampons.

51. That was TOTALLY my experience when I was a janitor, too
The women's rooms were generally filthy, and the worst messes of my life were all in women's rooms.

men's room, apart from the pee on the floor, were generally quite clean.

I don't know what it is with women and shit, but I saw a lot of it. And the occasional problematic tampon problem.

the stalls - used TP, dirty diapers, etc.

That is, when they're not throwing the items in question on the floor.

At least from what I've seen.

I used to have to clean restrooms when I was a janitor in high school.

The Women's restroom there was a pit of filth unlike anything I've ever seen. I was utterly shocked every time I had to clean it.

30. Sterility is not relative.
Women's urine can be contaminated by its journey through the pubic hair, but healthy male urine is free from bacteria.

You worry too much. Your hands touch hundreds of things a day far more germ ridden than a mere penis.

More than once, while I have been in the restroom washing my hands, (which I try to do as often as possible as they get dirty in the course of doing my job) I have seen a cashier emerge from a stall and walk straight out the door without even thinking about washing her hands.

And she is touching your groceries.

Lifting the lid on computer filth

Office workers are exposed to more germs from their phones and keyboards than toilet seats, scientists reveal.
Work stations contain nearly 400 times as many microbes than lavatories, it is claimed.

Office equipment should be regularly disinfected to prevent the spread of viruses and bacteria responsible for disease.

The reality of our grubby working environments is exposed in a study by the University of Arizona.

A desk is capable of supporting 10 million microbes and the average office contains 20,961 microbes per square inch, according to research.
