or

If the bear was placed in water deep enough for the shark to swim but shallow enough for the bear to stand up.

4. Disagree. The bear has much more strength. He could pick the
shark up and claw the shit out of it!

8. No way could a bear manage to pick up and keep hold of a shark.
Especially a great white. I dunno if that is one in the pic though... It would be flapping around and shit.

Edited on Fri Aug-05-05 03:58 PM by Shell Beau
is massive. If they were to get to the belly of the shark, the shark would be toast. That is very sensitive skin there.

19. I am ahead of you here, b/c they've done it on
Edited on Fri Aug-05-05 04:01 PM by Shell Beau
Animal Face Off. The Bear wins!!!! Woo hoo! The shark did manage to beat a croc though. Only b/c once a croc gets flipped over in the water, they are not able to turn back over. He sank to the bottom and drowned. The same is true for a shark. If they get turned over, they lose their senses, and their stomachs are very sensitive.

20. All we need to get our hands on is...
a shark, a bear, a swimming pool and a case of beer (for me, not the animals) and we would have ourselves one hell of an animal death match

3. Have you ever watched the Discovery Channels Animal Face Off?
The put animals like this up against each other. The bear would win, hands down.

10. It is awesome. They use mechanics and computers to
figure out who would win. They measure the strength and bite force. They put the lion against the tiger (tiger won), they put a hippo against a croc (hippo whooped ass), they but a anaconda against a jaguar (anaconda won), an elephant against a tiger (elephant won), a gorilla against a tiger or jaguar (the gorilla won). It is such an awesome show!!

his arm and plowed down on the back of the cat and broke its back. The strength in their arms is amazing. And actually, they had more powerful jaws as well. They just can't open their mouths the way a cat can!

On edit, no real animals are used. They just use the strength and behavior tactics of each animal. They measure it very precisely, and even have an expert for each animal. It is pretty realistic. And at the end of the show, the give a computerized show of the fight!

9. Bear. Because it has cute little round ears.
Sharks have no ears, so it stands to reason, they would lose.

A grizzly's claws would rip open even the biggest shark like a laundry bag.

30. lets up the ante a little
It seems that most would think the Bear would win...what would happen if you attached a laser beam to the head of the shark? Who would win now?
