Old TV Shows that were made into GOOD movies
With the horrible reviews circulating for "The Dukes of Hazzard", who can name a good movie inspired from an old TV show.

I vote for "Charlie's Angels" maybe not the best movie ever made but highly entertaining and knew how to poke fun at itself and talk about the Girl Power.

I was one of the few who liked "The Beverly Hillbillies"

One of the very few. :-)

Lily Tomlin was absolutely superb as Miss Jane.

Actually, the casting was uniformly good. A fun movie, IMO.

4. Me too.
I loved Jim Varney anyway but he was a great Jed. Yes, I really do like that movie and my kids were young enough at that time and big Ernest fans so I think somewhere I actually have that movie. Hmmmm, I needed something to do later tonight and that movie goes well with a few beers.

6. Sorry. Can't think of one.....
Do any of the Star Trek movies count? About half of them were slightly better than so-so.

11. I thought "The Fugitive" was okay, but I didn't agree with its hype as the
greatest movie ever, at the time of release.

14. PR departments always do crap like that, however...
the ONE time I thought when a director/actor claimed his movie was one of the funniest movies ever made ....and was correct.... was when Alan Arkin was on his interview junket for the original "In-Laws".

17. The Addams Family movies had a few funny moments
and were generally well done, with interesting plots and some rather good acting, although the old TV show is still far superior, one of the funniest shows ever on TV.
