My baby has a shiner!
OK, getting mentally prepared to go home and see my baby. Hubby and sitter both say that I will freak out.

Before the sitter came today, hubby took baby to his practice space to pick up some equipment. "I turned my back for one second..." Those infamous words. And a Gibson fell off the wall onto baby's head.

Baby is fine. But he has a shiner and a fret bar impression on his face.

Hubby feels TERRIBLE.

I was warned by both hubby and sitter that I will cry when I see the baby, but it looks worse than it is.

No stitches, no concussion. Baby's temperament is normal, eating playing, laughing, getting into everything.

Baby's first shiner!

Poor baby.

5. Baby was just christened by rock and roll
not a bad thing at all.

Kiss the boo boo better and apply arnica gel if it's not too close to the eye. Otherwise apply lukewarm black tea bags. I'm not an eye doctor but my sister who is one, recommends it to draw out infirmaties and reduce inflamation.

8. Baby can say later that he was
"Knocked by ROCK!"

or "struck in the soul by ROCK AND ROLL"

Either way, you know he's going to start a rock band now

12. Yep. Right now...
...he mostly likes drums and key boards.

A woman at the guitar center tried to sell him a ukulele the other day, but I think we'll wait til he's at least 2 or 3 for that.

:)

11. Don't take any pictures

or somebody might see them and get Social Services after you.

It's that kind of world.
