What is the weirdest dream you've ever had?
I just had one this morning where I was mayor of this city at age 26, but I was also an aspiring actress.

Then I met Condi Rice and she was a Klingon and I remember laughing and she got mad at me.

I can't remember much after wards but I then woke up to some shoulder pain.

So what are your weirdest la la land adventures?

Dee

5. I died in a dream one time.
In the dream, I was shot at close range with a shotgun, and was going to die. I can remember telling myself that this is the part of the dream where I wake up, but I did'nt, I actually died and could see my soul rising up out of my body and ascending up into the light. I remember thinking that this could not be happening. But the love I felt as I drifted toward the light was unbelievable. I was disappointed when I awoke to find myself in bed.

This morning I had a dream where my brother was telling me that he has a heroin addiction.

9. Could have been a past life...
where you were shot by a gun and died... Dreams can open gateways to your past lives. You should look into this some more.

10. I dream alot and the dreams are mostly dark
so I would like to forget most of them. Otherwise I would keep a dream journal. I have a great deck of dream cards that I use to help me interperate my dreams. This is usually very helpful.

After reading the book Reaching For The Oversoul by Jussek, I became very interested in past lives.

4. Last week I woke up from a dream where
someone was telling me to make a list of all the things that need to be done after I die. It was very weird and unsettling; I couldn't remember anything else but that. It wouldn't go away, either, so finally a few days later I sat down and made the list. It totally freaked me out, but it's done and it's not bothering me any more. Except now every night when I go to bed, I wonder why I had that dream in the first place . . . .

6. this must be my weirdest dream...
it happened about 20 years ago and it is still quite vivid. I was a young divorced mother with 2 toddlers and a new baby. Rather than go back to work I went on welfare. The grant was 50% of the cost of living from 10 years prior, about $300.00. I read a letter to the editor from a man who complained that welfare mothers all had drunken drugged out live-in-boyfriends whom they were supporting and were the reason for the moral decay of modern society. I wanted to write a rebuttal but was having a hard time coming up with a clear message and had started to look for statistics and facts. I felt very passionate about wanting to make my case and educate that ignoramus....I dreamed that I had traveled in my sleep to a high and far away spiritual temple and was meeting a sage spiritual adviser. We were di cussing intellectual esoteric masterful ideology about spiritual and worldly subjects. I was feeling smug and smart. The entity was a beautiful angel in white robes with blond hair. I told her I had this mighty calling to write a way important LTTE and right some earthly wrongs. "Don't you think this is very important?", I asked her. No, was the answer. I was offended to the depths. I just wanted to get out of there. I turned to run. As I did I started to fall. The faster I fell the faster the entity was on me. It was no longer an angle but my mortal enemy and trying to snuff me out. The dream became a night-terror. I was being chased and threatened with death. Heart pounding, short of breath, sweat inducing fear. I bounced back into my body and knew I'd made it back to my bed in my room. I dreamed I was awake at that point. I dreamed I was awake and telling people in my house that something consummately evil had tried to kill me. I dreamed I went back to bed and fell back to sleep. Somehow the entity was back in my room. I had to fight it off. We were in hand to hand combat on the top of my bed. It was like a hugh force of energy, no body, like fighting a wall of invisible air. It pushed me off the bed backward and up against my window. I was immobilized. I knew I was going to die. I surrendered myself to my demise. When I relaxed and let go...consigned with my fate the force disappeared. I was infused with fear and loathing of this 'being' for sometime. I knew it hated my ego and I hated it because it had felt 'evil' and scary. It permeated by thoughts for a long time until i gained some insight and realizations about my ego and desires to 'educate ignoramuses'.

11. The Burning Barn of Distorted Horses
Edited on Sat Aug-06-05 03:45 PM by AlienGirl
I had this dream when I was about 12.

The dream started with our class having to go on a field trip to a farm. We were all in a big schoolbus. When the bus stopped and we got off, we were in this field at the farm we were touring. I immediately felt scared, like there was something very wrong. A tour guide came up and told us that we had to stay together, stay on the trails, and most important, don't look at anything we weren't supposed to. There were these big mounds covered with tarps, and the tour guide said they were compost heaps, and we were not supposed to look at them or go near them.

Somehow I managed to wander away from the group. I walked up to a barn with some stalls in it. There were horses in the stalls, but their faces were very weird-looking, too long, and the flesh was sagging off of them like they were melting. Their eyes were human eyes. The horses were rearing up and trying to get away, because the barn was catching on fire. I tried to reach the doors to let them out but I was too short and the fire was getting bigger, so I ran.

Outside, I ran down the path toward where the other kids from my class were. But there was a big, tarp-covered mound--what the tour guide said not to get near--in front of me. I knew I had to look under the tarp, so I lifted it. There was a pile of bodies, people's bodies, but they were melty like the horses' faces had been. I heard someone behind me and turned around. The tour guide was there, and he grinned, pointed at the bodies, and said, "You'll be there soon enough." I woke up terrified, slept with a light on for months afterward. It still gives me the cold chills thinking about it to write it down. :scared:

12. I would have to say I had a dream with in a dream
Now I was traveling on a road trip from Tallahassee to Buffalo and we stoped in Cincy to go to Kings Island. That night I dreamt that I was traveling in a car and woke up in my bedroom (at home, remember I am still at the hotel) I go upstairs and my say to me good morning sleepy head. It felt so real.... I then wake up for real in my hotel room. Now it was a weird feeling.

Second place would come when my mom was describing her dream the night before and she described the same exact dream I had. We both dreampt that my grand dad her father came to our house. (we both knew he was dead) he walked in the door and we hugged him and told him that we miss him. Now that was a weird feeling hearing someone else describe the dream you had.

14. Just about two weeks ago I had a strange but fun one
I was near a dock, and a sharking competition had just ended. And there were two big sharks that were caught, but one of them suddenly started breathing air, and talking to us, and it said that once it had started breating air it couldn't go back to water - and it wanted to know which one of us would take him into our homes.

Then, today, I went to my usual barber's, and it turns out that my barber had really won first place in a fishing contest, but all the media had focused on some guy that had brought in a 1200 pound shark, but was 6 minutes late - and each minute cost him 25 grand.

15. This one seemed odd to me
Just vast endless pinkness. Nothing at all but pink. I woke up crying, feeling so grateful, like I had seen the true meaning of life. Thing is, I hate the colour pink.

Khash.
(who mostly has nightmares but likes that)

16. My dream about my company getting blown up
This might not even be my weirdest dream but I remember it pretty well and it is neither too personal nor involves offensive subject matter, or does it?
In my dream, I was working as usual, planning on staying a little later than usual because I had to get some stuff done. I left earlier though when another employee told me that it was very important that I leave before a certain time. As I was finishing up, my best friend (who was still working there in my dream) told me that it would be a good idea if I left as soon as possible. As I was walking out into the parking lot, the rest of the employees were standing around the parking lot. My friend said "Come on guys, we really need to get away from here." One of the other employees said "We want to watch, it's going to be cool." I was completely clueless to what they were talking about. My friend said "Come on. let's get out of here. It's their fault if these dumb asses want to stand around and get blown up." I rode back to my house in my friend's car (I don't know where my car was in the dream). As we pulled into the drive way, he said "We should be safe here. This should be far enough away." We went inside. My friend looked at his watch and then stared out the window. I looked out as well. There was a huge explosion. There was a mushroom cloud emerging from where the company had been. Cars from the highway a mile away were blown into the air. My friend laughed and said "Well we don't have to worry about that place anymore." We turned on the television where reporters were talking about the event already. I was frightened in terror, but my friend seemed very happy about the whole thing. For whatever reason, even though the explosion seemed to be nuclear, radiation didn't seem to be a concern.

17. The weirdest one...
I was actually sleepwalking. A part of me was awake, but not really. I got out of bed and saw the light from the powerstrip under my desk and I thought it was a fire. Then I started screaming my SO's name and "fire" until my SO woke up and led me back to the bed. Then I went back to sleep. It was the first time in years that I had been sleepwalking. I used to do it all the time as a kid.

18. Mother's Day, about 23 years ago. I had given up a child for adoption
about 2 years earlier. I dreamed I was traveling to a nearby city and had to stop to take shelter due to tornadoes in the area through which I was traveling. (In the dream I went into a Catholic school; no kids, just nuns...and we stood in a glass-windowed library watching the storms move past!) Then once teh stormes move on I left and the thing turned into nuclear war, mushroom clouds going up all over. (At the very beginning f the dream, I was going to be taking my daughter up to visit my ex, and I couldn;t find her dress, and when I did find it, it was made of paper, and it was the court orders to make her go do visitation with the asshole) and we were living on a mushroom farm, if rthere is such a thing,,,so there's a tie-in!)
And of course the car quit when the bombs fell and they were far enough away that I didn;t die right that instant and I was walking trying to go home so I could die with my family since I knew I was probably totally radiated and that they would be too, so I was going home, and on the way home, I met a little boy walking along the gravel road, and I had lost my shoes along the way somewhre, and = the gravel felt so real under my feet, and I picked up the little boy, and he clung to me, nad I knew it was my son I had given up, and I knew he knw I was his mommy, and I was just walking along hugging him and trying to get home so we could all die together.
Then I woke up and it was the strangest thing I ad ever dreaamed, and my feet really hurt like Ihad been walking barefoot in gravel.

19. I once had a commercial in a dream
It was for the sale of mobile homes. The dream itself wasn't weird, just the concept.
