So, about 45 minutes ago I put my coffee in my thermos to keep it hot

And, just went to pour myself a cup of coffee, and of course I didn't put the cap on the thermos.

I'm having a very ADD day. Thankfully I don't have ADD, but that's the day I'm having - I'm trying to clean do laundry and do some other stuff, and I keep doing like 50% of something, think of something else, go do 50% of that, think of something else (or need to go pee, and get distracted) and I'm slowly getting it all done, but piecemeal. The coffee was that problem - I remember distrincly pouring the coffee in, and then, before capping, deciding I needed to go to clean the sink in the bathroom. Which cleaning, of course, I haven't gotten done yet because the mouthwash bottle was empty, so I took it out to take to the recycling bin, then decided to make tea while I was in the kitchen, and then I had to clean the stuff off the coffee table....

Oh, well. The work thing isn't so bothersome, but the COLD FUCKING COFFEE is.

Your description of the kitchen/bathroom/kitchen scenario is so me, sometimes, too. It's like I get fixated on needing to get all these little steps done, and one leads to another to another... Ah well, at least you're getting some things done, right?! :)

4. This is why I keep a to do list.

Not so much because I can't remember what to do, but because posting it someplace prominent keeps me focused while I multi-task.

And yeah, put some ice in the coffee and pretend it's a plan.

7. I have a to do list, too - clean the bathroom, kitchen, and living room

but I keep wandering back and forth doing small bits and pieces. Part of it is just the way the brain is working, part of it also because sometimes I have to react when the washing machine is done, or when the teapot whistles, or the dryer is done, etc.

And then, of course, there's the laptop with DU sitting on the dining table...
