2. This a quote from a Garth Brooks song.
Lamenting the loss of my youth.

When I was a young man, I lived near Merded.

Is that near your part of Califonia?

7. That's a great song.
Wonder what ever happened to Garth Brooks? Guess I could google and find out . . . or go cook dinner for my husband.

What to do, what to do.

9. Go cook for your man.
I'm not sure what Garth is doing now, but on my son's
tenth birthday, we saw him live.
I can't remember any performer that had so much fun
on stage.

What a night!

:applause:

12. When I'm feeling old I always go to Bob Seger
Twenty years now
Where’d they go?
Twenty years
I don’t know
Sit and I wonder sometimes
Where they’ve gone

And sometimes late at night
When I’m bathed in the firelight
The moon comes callin’ a ghostly white
And I recall
I Recall

Although for me it's 30 years, and I wonder just like Seger, where'd they go? But overall, I guess Jimmy Buffett was right:

Jimmy, some of it's magic, some of it's tragic
But I had a good life all the way.

19. Yeah, but there is a bright side.....
If you remember Night Moves, that means you lived through it and have emerged on the other side...you know...the "older and wiser" side! :hi:

Consider yourself lucky that you were around in the days when songwriters wrote really good music, whether it makes you feel really old or not! I do....o.k, except for that period in the 70's when disco music was very popular...for that I am ashamed. :)

I rember riding with my parents,
singing along with the radio:

Go together like a horse and carriage,"

17. I don't think so....
I'm 61, and I know full well that I'm now on the shady side of that hill we all get over...

However, I know I still have some productive and fun years ahead of me...

Even my parents, who are in their 80's, are still having fun...
