Cooks--I need your help! Too much clove in the curry, now it has |
|
an aftertaste.
Is there a way to temper the flavor?
The curry tastes great, but the aftertaste is not good.
Thanks.

I would take out the potatoes and meat or whatever, add a bit more curry and water to temper or dilute the extra clove

2. Not a recipe, learned from my Indian m-i-l. |
|
I did add some more water, salt, and tomato and it helped.
If I must, I'll add some more beans, but it'sll be more than the fam can eat!

4. That third guy from the right is kinda sexy. |

Clove is a tough one. My best advice would be to add a wee bit of sweet to it, like honey. If that does not work, start over.

Try and slightly increase the amounts of the other ingredients. That should balance it out with the clove so it's not as overpowering. Just be really careful with how much extra stuff you add. Number one rule of cooking: you can always add, but you can't take away. :D

6. Thanks for all the help. A little sugar and extra tomato seemd |
|
to do the trick. Hubby shoveled it in like crazy. Since he's an Asian Indian, I'll call that good! :bounce:
