1. I just saw some woman trying to parallel park one-handed |
|
Because she wouldn't get off the damn phone. It was hilarious. I hate cell phones, Luddite that I am.

3. I don't have a choice right now |
|
it's the only phone i have. i've been living out of a suitcase for the past couple months and it's the only sure way to contact me. i just moved into a new place last week and don't have a phone yet, so i'm still waiting on that.

4. Some folks just don't know when not to talk on their cell phone. |
|
You wouldn't think that people would be so stupid, but, alas, they are.

5. some of the juggling acts amaze me |
|
i NEVER talk on the phone while driving. i've seen too many people get hurt because of it. i also don't talk in public places-- if i get a call, i look for a quiet corner or a separate room because i think talking on the phone in public is rude and impolite.
since my split from my ex-wife, the cell is the only way to get a hold of me, reliably. if i didn't absolutely need it, i wouldn't have it. i don't like being that 'available', y'know?

6. Driving and talking is very dangerous. (I'm guilty and trying to quit.) |
|
I hate people who talk in restaurants and stores. They are so loud and boorish. Why do I need to hear their PRIVATE conversations. Geez. In Hong Kong, many nice restaurants require that you check your cell phone at the door! How civilized!

2. You didn't know you couldn't live without it until you got it |

then when you leave it at home you do feel naked and stranded, cut off from instant communication. I feel the same way when I leave my cell at home. :(
