Van Bought At Sheriff's Auction Had 350 Pounds Of Marijuana
<snip>

EL PASO, Texas -- The used minivan came with an unexpected option -- about 100 pounds of pot.

A man recently bought the 1997 Plymouth Voyager from the El Paso County, Texas, Sheriff's Office.

A mechanic who checked under the minivan found the stash of weed.

Sheriff's officials say the buyer immediately returned the vehicle.

The minivan was seized by authorities when about 350 pounds of marijuana was found inside. Officials are trying to determine how deputies missed the rest of the weed.

The sheriff's department promises to return the van, minus the pot, to its new owner.

2. You wouldn't want it...
The traffickers know that not all the weed was found by the cops, and so their friends would have been after that van AND YOU if they found the stash missing.

5. Reminds me of a VW van I bought
Got home, and was going through it over the weekend, and found the former owners stash of guns. I called him up and told him that he had forgotten something. He laughed, and said oh yeah, I kept the guns locked up the van to keep them away from the kids.

There is also an apartment complex here in town where if anyone decdied to go over a certain part of the yard with a metal dectector they would get many hits. Do a little digging and they would find coffee cans full of dope. Trouble is by now the shit is over ten years old and worthless.
