I'm being stared at by a mourning dove |
|
What ramifications might this have?

5. I got checked out by a hummingbird yesterday |
|
She flew up to within three feet of my face. She just hovered there staring straight at me, turned to look at my friend, turned back to me, and then she took off. We weren't anywhere near her nest or feeder! It was like she just wanted to say "hi"!

10. What were you wearing? |
|
If you had on a red shirt or hat, or a colorful graphic the hummer had to make sure you're weren't a nice big flower that just showed up. We get buzzed by hummers in our yard all the time but the stop-and-stare routine is usually related to what we're wearing.
Cute little birds, aren't they?

11. Well, I wasn't wearing red or yellow... |
|
But, come to think of it, I was wearing a swimsuit with purple and blue flowers on it. My friend was sporting a brown bikini.
They are cuties! My parents have two hummingbird couples living in a tree behind their house. We haven't seen any babies tho.

I'd be shocked if every dove inhabiting North America isn't sad. Constantly.

Now there are two little finches looking for food. Better trek on out to the feeder before they do go Hitchcock on me!
