Have you ever tuned in to the middle of a TV show
and you can't really tell if it's a comedy or a drama? I hate when that happens.

1. Never....
But I hate when you come in and someone is watching a show and you don't know if it's a drama or a comedy and you start laughing cause you think it's a comedy and it turns out that the show on in the house you just walked into is the owner's wife's most favorite TV show of all time and it is a drama and you are running for office and the man of the house is so politically connected they call him Daily in deference to the mayor of chicago, not the young one the old one and there you are...

Laughing at his wife's favorite drama while he is glaring at you cause his wife is all upset and thinks you are a snob and how dare you walk into a house and pass judgment on what other people are watching you ungrateful prick....

But no, I have never walked in the middle of a show and couldn't tell if it was a comedy or a drama.....

3. We do that to my Father-in-Law
He likes those shitty crime drama bullshit shows (no offense if you like them--I dont').

He was at our house once and watching one of those shows and me and my hsuband were just sitting there laughing our ass off at the lame plot and disgusting "acting" and Dad's getting all pissed and finally says "DO YOU MIND? I LIKE this show". It was funny. He got all pissed about CSI or some shit and didn't talk to us for the rest of the next day :)

2. No, but it happens with music videos
we'll be flipping through and see a video or hear a song and we're like "wow! that rocks" then at the end, we see the band's name is SOLDIERS FOR THE LORD and the song title is YOUR BLOOD FOR MY SINS and it's on the Jesus channel

such a letdown

I hate how they trick you like that. Get you all wound up and THINKING about THINKING about listening to more and WHAM! it's religous.

8. I don't watch them either
MTV stopped catering to me the minute I turned 25. I'm not their demographic anymore. The music just doesn't....appeal to me. I suppose that's the key to getting "old" (at the ripe old number of 29).

Sigh. I've become my mother

"What is that? That's not MUSIC, it's SCREAMING. There's no LYRICS, just WORDS...aye yi yi, girl...."

9. I looked in the mirror and saw my dad...
But he was no where near as intuned to what is going on in the world as I am...

He was insulated and liked it that way...

He hit a style and a tempo he liked, somewhere in the early 60s, and stuck with it baby

11. I missed the opening of "The Big Chill" on cable
and, with the mistaken belief (from the promos) that it was to be a spy drama, I found myself laughin in places that I thought should not have . . .
