Where should I stay in Houston?
Specifically near the Galleria area?

Anyone know of any good places?

My company is paying, so I have $$$ liberties :D

1. Check out the Hotel Derek.
It's a cool ultra-modern (whatever that means) hotel.

Probably very pricy... I always wanted to check that place out, but I never did.

The Derek is on the other (in)side of the loop (Hwy 610).

If you're working at the Galleria itself, I'd recommend the Intercontinental (out)side the loop. Getting across that highway is never a trivial exercise.

Quality wise, I'd say about the same. Derek is probably more 'cutting edge'.
