Have You Ever Flown off the handle
Edited on Tue Aug-09-05 03:50 PM by Liberalynn
about something, then given a whole diatribe about something then realized you were wrong?

I very recently did that. It is so embarassing.

I feel like doing the whole Gilda/Emily Latella Thing. "Never mind."

1. I would be proud if I were you...
first you defended your opinion, then, you were able to realize you were wrong!

It proves that you are a more balanced and sincere person than a lot of people in this world!

5. Thank you for the support and also the good advice.

It's easy to forget that even when your acting on existing information there still maybe information and reasons other people are acting on that you don't know about.

I did apologize and it did feel good just simply admitting I was wrong and not just letting myself hide under a rock so to speak.

4. I once flew out of Talahassee
;)

The important thing is to be willing to admit your mistake. Everyone is wrong at some point, and it's only natural to defend your opinions. What's important, however, is that you accept facts and admit it when it appears that you were mistaken. To hold to a position when all of the fact show you that you're wrong is...well...Republican.

that is so true. Thanks. It also reminds me of one of the reasons I am so proud to be a Democrat.
