1. I'm so for them, I might try to find a job in that area
There are some animal rights attorneys in Dallas; maybe they need a junior associate.

2. The topic isn't being banished.
However, intentionally posting the same subject to continue arguments is not allowed. Please keep that in mind. The mood in the Lounge is a bit tense this evening.

3. I understand that,
But, what is wrong with a tense mood?

A fierce exchange, even?

Established rules not being broken, of course.

btw, I had forgotten the rule that forbids threads to be started to continue threads that have been locked. I agree with that rule, btw. I just think this is an important topic, and if things get a little rough once in a while, and if no breaking of existing rules occurs, I think the discussion, rough as it may get, can be a good thing.

Not really trying to intentionally violate rules.

5. GD is for the tense mood and fierce exchange.
The lounge is generally pretty silly. It's where those of us who are still recovering from our mind-shattering Nov. 2 rage like to hang out.

I go back to GD from time to time, and I leave the silliness out of it there. If soebody wants to flirt and kill time, send 'em here.

4. I don't see how one could be against
You could say that you can judge a society by how they treat their animals.

6. I'm against when it comes to food and medical research...
I believe in treating animals as humanely as possible, but food, clothing and medical (not cosmetics) research are all within the limits for me.
