Poll question: Which of these cars sucks less?
I'm trying to settle an argument, and what better people to ask than the citizens of DU?

Which of these vehicles is the overall best value, for overall purposes?
Or which would you simply prefer?

Personally, I say the Buick, even though it's older...but the Daewoo supposedly has a higher trade-in value.

So pick one, if you so choose.... :)

1. I'd say the Daewoo, most likely.
Being newer, maintenance costs will probably be a bit higher (lower availability of used and non-OEM parts), but you can counterbalance that with the savings in fuel (30+ mpg vs. 20 or so).

4. Wait'll gas hits three bucks a gallon...
you'll be glad of having a four-cylinder. And the Daewoo is lighter, too, so the power-weight differential shouldn't be too much difference. As long as it has enough pickup to merge off of on-ramps with no trouble, and cruise at 80 on the freeway, then that's all you really need...

6. Depends on where you live...
finding a mechanic who loves to work on Daewoos could be tough some places.
