3. Not without my permission
Sometimes I don't want to go to the ATM for cash and I let him use it. (I trust him ... but I ALWAYS get the receipt!)

7. I get to keep my card from the small account w/ just my name on it -
the one i use for groceries etc.

It's not that she doesn't trust me. It's just that five years have shown her that I never learned to balance a checkbook....

13. We have two checking accounts.
Both joint. I pay all the bills out of one of them automatically, or on the web., and the other one is used for daily expenses, like the grocery store, whatever. That way, I don't forget to record a transaction so that the mortgage doesn't get paid.

Works okay.

15. That may be what my husband and I start doing. We
have a joint account. It would still be a joint account, but have one for bills and the other for daily expenses!

16. i suggested to mrs. v. that we hire someone to keep our books and
pay our bills... that went over like a lead balloon. it's what i'd have to do w/out her.

She is a goddess, a gem, the most patient and loving woman on the planet.

with our Chevron card. He went grocery shopping there daily. Snacks, drinks, etc. Finally I said "no more"! He's good, though, with the ATM/debit card!

10. No, I have to beg to get my SO to let me use it (my name on it)
He says I lose it (I have)

But in order to get control of our finances, I have to get it away from him.

14. I cut off my wife's ATM privileges.
The less said about that the better. Let's just say I feel empathy for Mrs. V.
