Art Douglas, long time WCOJ personality, died on July 31. I had no idea until today, as I was checking out their website because they broadcast the first two hours of Ed Schultz, and the guy after him was on a tear about Bush as well.

Art was "the voice of Chester County", who did the inclement weather announcements for the area for years (among other duties, of course). When I was growing up, it was always Art who told me if I was going to school or staying home for a snow day.

I still can't believe it. I don't know how much kids still listened to WCOJ for closing announcements, what with TV and the internets and all, but Art was an institution.
