Poll question: ATTN Straight Women: Are you attracted to violent convicts?
http://www.cnn.com/ has a video called "Women attracted to violent convicts". It is an interesting video. Given the content of that video I have to ask here. Are you attracted to violent convicts?

(P.S. unless you post, your poll answer is confidential)

Oh, and for non-straight female I have some slots for you)

1. Not just no, but HELL NO!
I have a built-in creep detector, which has so far prompted me to put distance between myself and predators.

that in High School I dated 3/3 juvenile delinquents.

Not violent convicts, but certainly not virtuous lads.

3. No fucking way would I ever be attracted to any violent person
be they straight or otherwise. Violence is just not in my nature as a pacifist.

4. There is a psychological component
to those who find themselves drawn to violent criminals. It's the same part that will keep certain women living with those who abuse them, who return to those who have abused them in the past, and the ones who see themselves as "rescuers" to those who are troubled, violent or even psychotic.

Any self-respecting woman would never allow themselves to be put into that position, but there are many who would. Even knowing how these criminals suck the very life out of a person doesn't keep somew women away from them. It is a serious matter, but some women still justify it, or at the very least, find ways to rationalize it to themselves.

7. I am not a woman--but I actually
knew one who married a convicted murderer (they met, courted and married with him behind bars). I know her because she is a local hairdresser--a very nice woman--who seems quite normal--but she has a huge problem--she is a "rescuer". She wants to "save" this man and "help" him.

I think it must be a psychological abberation to be this much of a rescuer--and it is obviously fairly rare--but it does happen occasionally.

9. danielle steele
don't think it is common but there is a tiny, noisy minority of women who have this disease

isn't romance writer danielle steele one of them? not that she actually broke the losers she married out of prison or anything
