what program did you do it in?

if you want it to look more like oil, put some white shiney reflections on it. Oil is always 'glistening'. Maybe have some dripping down his chin so you have more to work with?

Yeah, I originally had a shine to it but it didn't really work for me. Might try adding some oil dribbling down the chin though.
