2. Eric who?
Just kidding. I know who Lindros is...it's just that, after OUR (the fans) year off, I'd thought he'd succumbed to serial "brain" infarcts...

4. At $1.55 million, it aint that big a thang.
Look at it this way: they're not paying the guy much more than Aki Berg or Tie Domi. If he gets concussion #9 and is moved off the roster, his salary won't count against the cap. When he chooses to keep his head up, he can be a pretty effective player, as is evidenced by the Olympic gold medal in his trophy case. Furthermore, it's a 1 year deal, so if he's a bust we can ditch him and there will be an empty spot on the roster open for one of the many UFA's that'll be flooding the market next year.

The Leafs don't have the cap room to be shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue, so they rummage through the Goodwill store, find some nice bargains like Allison and Lindros, and hope they don't fall apart before next June. I'm not a huge fan of either of these players (in fact I used to regularly laugh at #88), but I think they're good pick-ups. If they can add Anson Carter, I think we've got a pretty good team. Maybe even a "pretty great" team, as my 3 year old daughter would say.

5. Also, does anyone know if the Big E is going to Crawford...
to support for Cindy Sheehan? Or are his parents not letting him go?
