I just got a ton of mail from various grad schools today
and quite frankly it's freaking me out a little. Yeah I graduate this year and yeah I'd better get cracking on my future plans but when 6 different schools send you catalogs on the same day it's kind of weird.

I got stuff from the University of Maine, University of New Hampshire, Southern New Hampshire University, Boston University, Bard College, Penn State and one more I can't remember off the top of my head. I know this is probably freaking out my dad a little too because I went to undergrad close to home and I really want to go up to New England. He knows that too but I think he is in a bit of denial about it.

This is all happening too fast, I don't even know what I'm qualified to get a masters in anyway...I'm so lost when it comes to this. At least in high school I had a good guidance counselor, now I'm pretty much on my own because my family is useless when it comes to this crap.

2. I'm getting my BA in Health and Exercise Science...
with a specialization in Athletic Training. So ultimately I'd like to score a GA position as an athletic trainer, as for the masters, I'd like to find an advanced program in athletic training (which there aren't many of) or something in sport psychology. I just don't think I have the drive to pursue exercise physiology or kinesiology. Also I don't think I have enough advanced science courses to get into one of those programs as well

3. My sister in law is getting a degree as an athletic trainer
Her undergraduate was nursing. She hates being a nurse, so she's going to be a trainer.

Where are you located now?

5. Well New England isn't so far away
I was thinking maybe you were in California or something.

6. It's not
and New England is like my favorite part of the country. I vacation there every year, but I have a clingy father who thinks Pennsylvania is too far away. Ultimately we will be getting into a big fight over this but it's not his decision because I'm the one paying this time. I can't help but think that this is the best program for me http://www.plymouth.edu/gradat/advanced.html we've had a brochure hanging up in our training room from this school for about 2 years and it's really everything I am looking for in an advanced AT program...especially the education concentration. In fact it's been the only school that I've been able to find that has everything I'm looking for, location included
