Flamingyouth and I have a new addition to our family! (PIC HEAVY)
Edited on Fri Aug-12-05 05:52 PM by Fenris
We were looking around Austin this afternoon and came across this gem at Tesoros.

It was pricey, but we decided that if we didn't buy it, we'd spend a lifetime looking for another one. I mean, it's Mao at the beach for God's sake!

And doesn't he look spiffy in that terry-cloth robe? And his lips seem so full and pouty! :D

I love this guy - going to the beach in his Maoist uniform. And his assault rifle.

He looks thrilled! :D

Not uncomfortable at all!

On the lookout for enemies of the people!

This thing is huge too and HEAVY! I think we're just going to leave it at my apartment until I move up to Seattle. It will be such a great conversation piece.

You MUST bring it to Seattle, then choose a bar with a really big round table and we will all come meet you there and see it.

23. It's made of some sort of plaster-like material.
It's at least 25 pounds and is about 14 inches from side to side, 15 inches at the capitol of the flag. Here it is in comparison to a 32 ounce soft drink and a 9 inch prayer candle.

27. Great. It's a fabulous find BTW.
I have a red star from 'China Books and Crafts' on 2nd and Cherry, downtown, in 1970. I love the Chinese stuff I got there-it was one of the only places you could buy Chinese stuff, before 'detante' you know. We could use some of that 'detante' shit right now, come to think of it. Dick Nixon! Where are you now that we need you?

Thanks for sharing! :D
