Poll question: Should I download iTunes?
I do not have an iPod, nor do I plan on getting an iPod anytime soon, but I've been told that iTunes is a great program to have regardless. What do you folks have to say about it?

1. I've enjoyed Rhapsody and here's why
I've not used Itunes but I have great luck with Rhapsody. You pay $9.99 a month for the service and basically you can set it up like an online jukebox. Many of these online music download services give you a 10sec clip and you have to pay if you want the whole song.

Right now Rhapsody only downloads to CD burner and it's 79cents a song should you down load. But I have my Rhapsody setup with about a dozen different play list of my favorite songs - it's a really great service

12. IMO, great application for burning CD's
also converts midis to .wav, mp3, etc. It's always worked fine for me.

2. Unless you're using it to buy music, I personally wouldn't bother
I'm much more fond of Winamp as my media player.

3. it's not a power user app, but great for joe user -- it's easy
easy and powerful, but more easy than powerful. The good news is that you can do all of your music management in it, from ripping cds to burning cds, to listening to mp3s, to visualizing mp3s, to buying music. The bad news is that they REALLY want you to buy music, and they make it SOOOOOO easy.

4. Another question -- does iTunes play MIDI?
I compose MIDI songs, and it would be nice to have a reliable MIDI player, since winamp won't install on my system and WMP sucks at MIDI.

7. That's why I like Rhapsody
Most of the stuff I just want to listen to while I'm at home and I don't have to pay to listen to the music except the $9.99/month fee
