It;s unbelievably annoying - I've reported them as spam numerous times and now screen all my e-mail with junk filters.

10. Lately, it's been Paypal and Ebay

scams, which I am consistently getting at least two or three a day. Much of the stuff you mentioned has tapered off due to the excellent efforts of my ISP spam blockers. I DO get a lot of the 419s, though, but they're not all from Nigeria anymore. And with an ambiguous screen name, I used to get the penis enlargements all the time.

There are a lot of mortgage loaners out there now, too. Now that I'm actually pursuing that avenue, I have to be very careful which ones I contact, though. It's very disturbing. Imagine what it was like before unlimited internet time, when the freaking things would clog our mailboxes and start to run up our online bills.

lost friends, mortgages, you name it. Fortunately most of them go directly to my junk mail folder automatically. Still it's very annoying.

I find my email address used by spammers as a phony return address. As a result, I get:

at least 20 bounced back emails a day for a couple of weeks or so ("user does not exist", "user on vacation", etc).
one email asking me for further details about my "business"
one job resume from a guy in India who wants to work for my "business"
three angry emails from three different people cussing me out for being a spammer
one virus sent to me two or three times in a row by the same one angry person using multiple email addresses.
