New Top 25 Coaches Poll
Expect very few changes in the AP poll...it should look like this too.

2. Southern California 8-1 1,508 2
3. LSU 8-1 1,426 4
4. Ohio State 9-1 1,397 6
5. Michigan 8-2 1,286 8
6. Georgia 7-2 1,154 9
7. Texas 8-2 1,139 11
8. Washington State 8-2 1,008 13
9. TCU 9-0 965 12
10. Purdue 8-2 899 14
11. Florida State 8-2 870 3
12. Virginia Tech 7-2 868 5
13. Tennessee 7-2 846 17
14. Miami (Fla.) 7-2 806 7
15. Nebraska 8-2 680 16

1. Top 10?
When was the last time there was a Top 10 without a Florida team in it?

This might be quite a long time....

7. NIU
As someone who went to Northern when they lost a record breaking 22 (or was it 23) games in a row all i can say is that i can't believe they are a ranked team...and the best team in Illinois (including the Bears)...I still live in Dekalb and I can say we are all still in shock.

5. I've gotta believe...
...that some of the coaches shot them down further after Kellen Winslow's ridiculous comments.

The AP will have them lower, I'll bet...sportswriters are not a kind bunch.

6. Looks to a rare year where a Florida team isn't playing for championship,
either winning or losing it.

9. What would happen if Oklahoma lost the Big 12 Championship game?
USC. That's who I hope wins it.

Although, I have a fleeting suspicion that Oklahoma will take it. They deserve to anyway.

10. Then everything goes to hell
Seriously - there will be so much moaning and bitching that it will be impossible to decide who will be in the Sugar Bowl.

I think it would be LSU and USC if both win out and Oklahoma loses. It's also possible that either Michigan or Ohio State would be in the game if both win next week and LSU loses the SEC Championship game (a distinct possibility, either Florida or Georgia could keep up with them).

11. The way it should be!
Michigan and Ohio State, in the top 5, playing for the Rose Bowl. How could anyone accept anything less?

12. UF's rising
I'm a bit perturbed that FSU lost. A Gators win over a top-5 FSU would have looked impressive.
