Take the beliefnet religion quiz....
within what realm of faith do your beliefs fall?

Even though I am a practicing Zen Buddhist, I ended up with 100% liberal christian and 96% Buddhist..... i am pleased to say my "neocon" rating was quite low....
(neocon is not actually listed but you'll see what I mean)

26. here's the kicker: my closest coworker is a Witness!
:o

he's actually a very nice, very down to earth, and very sweet human being! we've actually had a few theological discussions before, and agree on a lot of things-- and disagree on quite a few, too.

i kind of got a chuckle when i first saw that, considering i've studied their theology/religion before and actually have friends who are Witnesses...

29. I remember when I was a kid I used to play with some kids who...
were JWs. I think that the thing that caused 3 out of the 4 of them to leave the church (became methodists,.... one universalist) was the no christmas tree thing.

Now usually every year I see one of them while I'm out getting my tree.

18. it's funny because
I think Catholic school was actually a good experience for me as a kid. It wasn't really preachy or hard core and I have fond memories of my old church/school and neighborhood. It was a nice, close knit community full of good people.

I just reached a point in my twenties where I no longer believed in the premise of the faith. Catholic school didn't turn me against the religion. I just don't believe in the religion and many of the things that it teaches.

25. Done this before
several times, in fact, but it's always a little revealing to do it again. Here are my results above 50%.

1. Unitarian Universalism (100%)
2. Secular Humanism (97%)
3. Liberal Quakers (87%)
4. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (83%)
5. Nontheist (76%)
6. Theravada Buddhism (67%)
7. Neo-Pagan (63%)
8. Bahá'í Faith (52%)

This pretty much is in agreement with my beliefs, I think, although I prefer not to really associate with a specific church or anything, preferring to be my own spiritual guide.
