1. I think an art gallery featuring the work of Thomas Kincaide would |
|
be more fitting to your personality. I'm just sayin' is all

3. He can play Whitney Houston music in the background while serving |
|
Starbucks coffee, too.
(Sorry, tried to work Tom Cruise into it, but couldn't.)

|
Might as well have something to do while drinking beer.

4. I don't know about your romantic life...but.. |
|
I've been considering getting my FFL for just such a plan (gun store, that is. Not the mink farm).
I'm sick of having to go into Bush loving gun stores to buy ammo. We need a liberal owned gun shop! I support your gun store! Minks...well, they smell. But so do I so I guess I should just keep quiet!
=)

10. Actually, yes, it would be nice to have more liberal gun stores |
|
My friend owns a gun store, and, god bless him, I love the guy, but he thinks Rush is the biggest truth speaker since Jesus himself. My friend is also Catholic, married a woman who had a child out of wedlock, they had pre-marital sex, and he enjoys strip clubs post-marriage.
But he believes FIRMLY in "Christian family values, unlike the damn liberals who want to bring sin and debauchery into our schools".
I don't understand him at all some times.
I am one of the rare (though, I think, we're not really all that rare) liberal "gun nuts" who loves to hunt and shoot. And yes it would be nice to have a store to go to in which it wasn't assumed I was a racist, bigoted, uneducated, NASCAR-lovin' Shrub-supportin' piece of shit.

There are a lot of gun owners in the Democratic party. The 'thing' about liberals is that we have a diverse range of opinions...not a single group-think mentality like much of the Right. It's both a strength and a weakness, I suppose...depending on the situation.

16. You are not alone - there are many liberals with guns at DU |
|
Indeed many have a hunting for food family history.
But do you really need the mink "farm"? Assuming memory serves me well tonight, I can recall nothing good of the mink farms I once visited.

I think wearing fur coats is funny, and is a RIGHT that the upper classes should continue to enjoy.

21. mink stew - yummy -- much tastier than rat roast -but it is hard to make |
|
shoes out of rat/mink skin
I'm afraid the only use of the skin is for the rich that like the fur and who will pay someone to sew little patches together. I rather like the idea of the rich wearing patch quilt rat/mink -
:-)
Besides the sewing could provide home jobs with piecework wages - another Bush new economy job - heck 2 new jobs if the person sells the stuff on EBAY.
:-)

22. Yes - it's time to bring back piecework wages! |
|
People should get paid for what they produce, and not get paid for time spent in the bathroom or the lunchroom or at the water fountain.
And I think that sewing mink patches would be perfect work for children, with their smaller hands. And, with Shrubbie's new "No Child Able To Go Forward" education program, there should be a lot of children available to do some work, instead of being parasites on society.

5. I think that would be a cool thing..... |
|
My dad bought into a Mink "Farm" back in the 60's which pretty much tells you why my mom divorced him....
It was in some guy named Wendell's basement in the middle of a city....
Some of the critters got out and all hell broke loose in the hood that night....

24. I think your gun store needs an upholsterer adjunct. |
|
Guns and upholstery is a combination that works well in business.
The minks can get by on their own.

27. Good idea! Absolutely must be raising veal as well. I'm sure there will |
|
be some extra spaces in the backroom somewhere, that will be just the right size for a veal cage. Why waste the space? I gotta leverage every cubic foot I have.

from school in Salt Lake City, It was pretty awful. Lots of guard dogs. And cage after cage of mink.

|
There was a fire I think. My neighbors ended up with a mink in their window well. They are the most beautiful animals.
Have you heard of the new thing. Its fashionable to get stuff made of lamb fur - a special kind of real curly coated lamb. They kill the lams within days of birth - or kill the ewe and take the foetus of the lamb.
I just don't get that kind of stuff. Cotton is just fine and washes a whole lot better.
