Ooh stormy outside--a few minutes ago

there was a loud thunder noise and the lights went out for one second and I got kicked offline. And I was ready to be pissed if the internet didn't fix itself, but it did. :) And the summer storm continues on..lots of rain/thunder/lightening.

I grew up in Arizona, but lived in CA for 12 years before I moved to Mass.

Speaking of which, this must be a pretty big storm system to be hitting both Long Island and Mass. at the same time :)

8. It was storming this noon

in northwest Arkansas, but I don't think it is the same storm system....would have to have moved REALLY fast to get to you folks on the East Coast!

5. please please please let it rain..finally!!!! My son's flight to Chicago

from LGA was cancelled due to weather. He is flying out tomorrow morning. He called over an hour ago.
I am sitting here in Brooklyn STILL. WAITING. FOR. THE. RAIN. TO. START.!!!! :grr:

10. Just called him on his cell phone and he is only near Queens Blvd.

He has been in the cab for over an hour....and it is still raining by him. Still no rain here in Brooklyn.

EDIT for those of you who do not know the geography here, normally that distance should have taken him 5-10 minutes to travel from LaGuardia Airport.

for the East Coast for tonight and tomorrow.

hmmm Maybe my son will not be leaving for Chicago tomorrow after all...
