Tech help - my disk is "not formatted properly" |

When i put my disk in my A drive it says "not formatted" - but I have used this disk before and it has my resume on it! I need it!
ANy ideas what's happening?
Please help me, sweet DUers!

there are software packages out there that can recover data from a corrupted floppy - look for a few on download.com.
Also, if you have a second computer, try to see if you can read it on them...

I have had that error occasionally on my Win 2K machines even with disks that have never gone anywhere else but in my camera. But most times it crops up when my friend takes a disk home from my 2K machine and tries to run it on her XP machine.
Try closing the window, ejecting the disk and trying it again. I usually can get it to recognize the disk on a retry or two. If not, try it on a different machine.
