Eminent Domain
I posted this in the Texas forum, but apparently nobody saw it:

I am not sure whether the measures that passed the leg. re: eminent domain have gone into effect yet. But I got to thinking (I hear you saying "there he goes again: thinking, but its really good this time, so bear with me here).

The residents of McClennan county have a problem with their tax values being hurt by the presence of "the Western Whitehouse (yechh!)" in their county. One of the neighbors of this blighted area is so disturbed that he even fired his shotgun to draw attention to the fact that they pay property taxes up there.

It seems clear to me that the property values of the entire county can only be favorably enhanced, as well as the well being of its citizens (what with the irate and misunderstood citizenry having to waste their ammunition to get attention) if part, if not all, of the pig farm known erroneously as the "Western Whitehouse (yechh, again!) is forthwith condemned and redeveloped into a free speech zone, with facilities sufficient for the housing of activists and presentation of issues.

Now, if we can just find some developer who we could get to build such a facility. . . . Maybe Bob Perry . . .

what do you think?
