:wow:
Pretty refreshing to know that there's at least one out there who:
- thinks we are the keepers of the land and must respect the environment at all costs; - thinks owners of SUVs should be keelhauled and fed to the weasels; - thinks global warming is a dire reality and anyone who says anything to the contrary is a idiotic dipshit; - thinks that the California energy crisis was engineered by an out-of-control industry which should be reined in and hung out to dry; - thinks that if we the people don't do something NOW, we don't deserve to be here.
The conversation didn't cover any war-related topics, for various reasons I won't go into here, but I have a hunch this conservative (in the strictest political sense of the word) isn't too thrilled with his party right now.
BTW, he knows I'm a screeching libertarian. Had me pegged from the word go. :P

1. if he voted for Bush he's still got big ol' flaw right up the middle |
|
If you are FOR all the those things and you vote for the person who is AGAINST all those things, you are not sane.

2. You're right, but my standards of sanity for those people are WAY lower |
|
than my standards for the blue people or any non-red people. :)
That said, he mentioned he was a repub, but I have a sneaky feeling he voted otherwise last time. The fact that we had a long conversation and didn't piss each other off once points to an actual human being under there. Plus he's in his late 20s early 30s, as far as I can tell.
We didn't get into nitty gritty things because he's a prospective client and I try to not get into pissing matches on the first date. :P

Well, what can I say...there'z freaks of nature everywhere!
It *was* refreshing, though. Maybe not all cons are neocons.

7. It's not enough that they don't vote for theo-cons. |
|
They must denounce them, the same way we should denounce DLCers that trade the benefits earned through the blood of those who died for our workers' rights for campaign cash.

11. Actually, that kind of makes sense |
|
that at least some of the people who get sent overseas to get shot in the arse for no reason whatsoever would get a clear notion of the big picture.
