Found this poem stuck on the supermarket bulletin board...

[halobeam]

They are coming home,
it's more than some mother's can say
a blue sky glows above
a black heart cries away

They are small now,
but soon too fast
they'll render useful to it's means
and more the chance to shout
and more black hearts cry out

The sun sets as it did
back in the days long past
a promise of hope and joy
are mummified and cast

Upon their bright and innocent eyes
the blue above, the black resides
prominently,
in knowing
one day they might not come home.
