Things that have broke in the last week
DVD with cool DVD stuck inside
XBOX
Computer monitor
toaster
our ceiling leaked
our car smells moldy from the flooded parking lot
*so far I have managed to fix the XBOX and toaster but seriously WTF

1. Dude, that sucks....

For the DVD, you may be able to take it apart and get the DVD out manually... I know I had to do that with ours (and a tape, too). If you call the company, they might help, if it's not under warranty...
